Thermal performance

The double-sided white insulated hatch is 3.6 cm thick and helps limit heat flow. The U-value of the central section of the hatch is 1.13 W/(m²·K).**

Seal

The perimeter seal installed in the box helps limit air leakage between the hatch and the box.

Hatch lock

When the hatch is closed, the lock presses it against the seal.

Ease of use

The metal handrail provides an additional point of support when using the loft ladder.
